Real-Time Pensacola Fishing Reports & Conditions

Stay updated with the latest action on the water by checking our Salty Cedar Charters fishing reports. Our team provides real-time updates on Gulf conditions, water temperatures, and the most productive bite windows to ensure your next outing is a success. Whether the bite is hot at the Pensacola Pass or moving deeper into the Gulf, we track the migration of local species to give you the ultimate advantage. Check back often for current snapshots of what’s hitting the deck and local weather insights before you book your next trip.

Trophy Fish Caught

Our recent Pensacola fishing reports showcase some truly impressive catches that demonstrate the richness of our local waters. Anglers aboard our vessel have recently landed massive Red Snapper, powerful King Mackerel, and even hefty Blackfin Tuna that test the limits of your gear. We’ve also seen a surge in trophy fish activity around nearshore reefs, with guest photos featuring "reef donkeys" (Amberjack) and elusive Gag Grouper. If you’re looking to target tropical fish or large game species, our reports highlight the specific depths and lures that are currently producing these wall-worthy catches.

Family-Friendly Fishing Adventures

At Salty Cedar Charters, we believe the best memories are made with a rod in hand, which is why we specialize in family-friendly fishing trips. Our adventures are designed with safety as the top priority, featuring kid-sized gear and a patient, easy-going atmosphere led by Captain Clay. We focus on high-action spots where the fish bite quickly—keeping younger anglers engaged with species like Spanish Mackerel and Mangrove Snapper. From teaching your little ones how to bait a hook to celebrating their very first catch, we provide a fun and relaxed environment that makes us the perfect choice for families visiting the Emerald Coast.

Fishing Year-Round in Pensacola

One of the best things about the Florida Panhandle is that we offer incredible fishing year-round. While the species might change with the seasons, the quality of the experience never wavers. Spring and summer bring the highly anticipated Red Snapper and Cobia runs, while the fall and winter months offer some of the best inshore fishing for Bull Redfish, Sheepshead, and Flounder. Our deep understanding of these seasonal variations ensures that whether it's the heat of July or a crisp January morning, we know exactly where to find the fish. Rely on our expertise to guide you to the best spots every month of the year!

Pensacola Bay - Santa Rosa, FL Fishing Report on 13th Jul, 2026

The inshore fishing in Pensacola is firing on all cylinders right now. Over the last couple of days, our charters have been dialed into a highly productive redfish bite, consistently putting our guests on quality fish. The highlight of the week came during a coordinated two-boat trip with Captain Braden Coker, where our anglers managed to complete an impressive inshore slam. Whether you are looking to target heavy-hitting reds or secure your own slam, the local waters are delivering incredible action right now. A huge thank you to the fellas who fished with us this week—it was a blast sharing the water with you, and we look forward to having you back on the boat for your next trip.

Non-Stop Pensacola Sunset Trip: Trout, Snapper & Grouper Bites fishing report coverpicture

September 30, 2025

James and crew land trout, snapper & grouper on evening charter!

Non-stop bites all day long! James and their crew joined us for a summer evening trip out of Pensacola with partly cloudy skies and some rain rolling through. We launched late afternoon for our Escape The Summer Heat With A 5-hour Sunset Fishing Trip and headed out to work the inshore waters. The weather kept things interesting but didn't slow us down one bit. Salty Cedar Charters had y'all set up for a solid evening on the water. Once the stage was set, we put our focus on drift fishing and bottom fishing techniques that work so well in these Pensacola inshore waters. The crew put speckled trout, ladyfish, grey snapper, and gag grouper in the box using cast and retrieve methods. These techniques are perfect for working the backcountry spots where the fish hold during summer months. Lines in the water stayed busy and the bite was hot even with the weather moving through. We wrapped up the trip with bent rods and smiles all around! If y'all are looking to get out on the water and beat that summer heat, our Half Day Sunset Fishing Trip In Pensacola is the way to go. Pensacola inshore fishing offers some of the best opportunities for speckled trout, redfish, sea trout and flounder using drift fishing and bottom fishing techniques that produce results. Whether you're after freezer meat or just want to play with some good fighting fish, our 5-hour sunset trips give you plenty of time to work the productive waters. The evening bite can be incredible when conditions line up right, and there's nothing like cruisin' the flats as the day cools down. Salty Cedar Charters runs these trips year-round, and summer evenings are prime time for putting fish in the box. Preciate y'all considering us for your next Pensacola fishing adventure!
